Kidd yourself

After a couple of long posts this weekend, and thanks to a raging bout with a cold and my sinuses, my energy's pretty low this evening. So how's about a little link? A few days ago, Zeldman offered a brief review of Veronique Vienne's new coffee table book on designer Chip Kidd, which I myself picked up over the holidays. As Z remarks, it's a great book for charging up the creative batteries--Kidd's cover designs are rarely uninteresting.

I might also add that no Peanuts fan should be without the compendium that Kidd designed a couple of years ago, and I'd even go so far as to pitch for Kidd's first novel, The Cheese Monkeys, which I bought, read, and recommended like crazy when it first came out. So that this post is a little bit less of a waste, let me also recommend an interview with him at Identity Theory.
